Kait Sandes moved to Bloomington in 2012 to attend Indiana University. She graduated from the Jacobs School of Music in 2016 with her BA in Voice Performance, so naturally, after graduation, she became a real estate broker. She may be young, but she’s a fast learner! She’s not afraid to ask questions and absorb information from her mentors so that she can advocate for her clients the best way possible. She isn’t afraid to go the extra mile. Kait knows that the home buying process can be difficult and stressful at times, but she’s here to walk you through every step. In January of 2018, Clarence joined the Griffin Realty team in Bloomington, IN. Prior to this, he enjoyed a 25-year career in development and alumni relations with both the Indiana University Foundation and the Indiana University Alumni Association. Also, he served as a liaison to the Office of the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs.  

These former experiences in negotiations, volunteer management and alumni engagement have helped prepare Clarence for making dreams come true in the exciting world of real estate brokerage. Incorporating a keen eye for detail coupled with a heart full of patience, Clarence enjoys advising, evaluating and marketing properties for clients.

In his spare time, Clarence volunteers in the community and at WFHB Radio in Bloomington where for 14 years, he has produced a multiple award-winning one-hour weekly black public affairs program called, “Bring It On!”

Clarence is married to Ann Logan-Boone and they have two adorable daughters, Aniya and Alayna.

We’re so glad that Mitra is a part of our Griffin Realty team. Having arrived in the States in 2014 from Iran, she met Don the same year and was quickly hired to help with his growing business. With a B.S. in Statistics and Accounting and practical experience in the insurance business, she lends her financial expertise and and real-world-know-how to our diverse group.

Family man and Boy Scout, Tim Ballard, is definitely someone you want on your team.  Helping develop Griffin Realty and newly formed tenant placement agency, Off Campus Housing Agency (OCHA!) as Director of Operations, his business background and international perspective brings the team together. Having retired from several years of teaching and trading Euro options and futures at the Chicago Board of Trade, he now spends his time in Bloomington with his family using his unique skill sets on guiding and educating clients on their investments and commercial as well as residential ownership experience.

Tim first met Don when Don showed him and his wife, Meg, their first house in Bloomington. They immediately connected, with Tim admiring both Don’s business and life philosophies, and the rest is history.

Tim loves being a part of Griffin Realty, and when you don’t see him in the office or on the phone, he is away on a adventure in a national park somewhere with Meg and their two beautiful children.

Since 2003, Pilar has called Bloomington home. Raised in the Midwest, she received her BA from Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. While at Franklin, she studied spanish and journalism with an emphasis on advertising and public relations. After graduating, she relocated to Albuquerque, NM. She spent the first part of her career working for a large internet company, but after the birth of their son, she and her husband decided to return to Indiana to be closer to their family. She returned to school to attend Indiana University’s top ranked School of Public and Environmental Affairs. In 2009, she received her MPA with concentrations in Nonprofit Management and Policy Analysis.

Pilar enjoys meeting new people. She listens to her clients to determine their exact needs and wants and keeps open lines of communication throughout the buying and selling process. She excels at doing market research analysis for buyers and sellers. She’s willing to go the extra mile to ensure the client is happy with the end results.
